About Amy
As my website proclaims, I am a non-union actor local to the DC/Baltimore metro area. I am also easy to work with, versatile, punctual, playful, hard working, committed, dedicated, and criminally cute (or so I've been told).
As to why I am an actor? I believe that we as human beings are driven by the power of Story. Actors have the privilege of bringing stories to life in a way that is immediate, thought-provoking, and world-changing. Theatre and film is not simply entertainment, these are the primary venues we use to reshape our realities. A well-written film or play with a knowledgeable, dedicated crew and a knowledgeable, dedicated cast can truly change the course of public sentiment. If it were not true, governments the world over would not bother to try to restrict the creation of and participation in this art form. So I am an actor because I want to tell the stories that we humans need to hear.
And I also love action movies and would really like to be in Joss Wheadon's next Sci-Fi show. So there's that, too. :)
